Economic-Spatial Strategy ZaanIJ
Thursday 1 December, Hembrugterrein, Zaandam. Our project team (MUST stedebouw + Bureau Buiten + UrbanXchange), with the representatives of companies, citizens and municipalities of Amsterdam and Zaanstad, made a further step towards the development of an economic and spatial strategy for ZaanIJ 2040.
The project atelier revolved around three scenarios for the future of the area – Productive City, Healthy City, Inclusive City – and their implications on key themes, such as living, working, public space, waterfront, connectivity and relation with surrounding neighbourhoods.
The inspiring inputs from this collective session will serve as the basis to build a solid vision for the future of ZaanIJ.
